Roong Aroon goes to Australia: Cultural exchange

ย้อนภาพและการเรียนรู้ที่ประทับใจของนักเรียนรุ่งอรุณ เดินทางไปแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมที่ Tintern Grammar School ,Australia

Eighteen Grade 6 and 7 Roong Aroon students joined together for a wonderful 18 day Journey to Melbourne, Australia. The hosting school, Tintern Grammar School welcomed all of them with open arms. They joined a variety of classes with their new friends. They also had some special classes such as cooking Pavlova!

During the trip, the students took excursions to ride the historic Puffing Billy train, visit the bird sanctuary, meet some koalas and kangaroos and see the city from the Eureka sky deck. However, the highlight was certainly becoming part of the Tintern family… literally during homestay. They slept and helped out at home and came to school with their new brothers and sisters.

This program emphasized cultural awareness in the homestay and school environment while also improving their English for communication. The students used their skills in adapting to a new environment and situations as they arose naturally, strengthening independence and self-reliance. During their stay, the students regularly reflected on their growing confidence and openness to differing lifestyles in their written (Blog) and video (Vlog) ‘TRIP JOURNAL’. Finally, the students created and shared a Thai Culture performance which included Thai dance and Khon too! The friendships developed were shared on the next chapter of the adventure…Tintern Grammar School at Roong Aroon School!
